七個自命不凡的文藝青年離群索居住在山上，歐陽詩人讚頌這個沒有女人的地方。一日，金力在海邊救起一名女子張麗麗後，七個男人都將她奉為謬斯，幻想彼此幸福的未來，這個沒有女人的地方，變成以女人為主的地方。李行在片中飾演歐陽詩人，是七名角色中表面上最正直理性的一員，清瘦的外型加上字正腔圓的咬字，將詩人詮釋的唯妙唯肖。

There are seven intellectuals live in a remote mountain. The poet Ouyang praises the location as “a place without woman.” One day, one of them rescues a woman, Lily. All men worship her as the Muse and fantasize about a happy future with her. The place turns into a place dominated by the woman.

黃醫生經營一家西醫診所，一日隔壁搬來陳姓夫婦經營中醫診所。起初，大家禮尚往來相安無事，兩家的年輕人也都看對了眼。直到陳太太到黃西醫診所提親，爆發了一連串本省外省、語言習慣、中西醫術的正面衝突。本片是李行早期的作品，當時台語喜劇片盛行，片中充滿國台語雞同鴨講的諧趣，亦描述李行一向著重的親情倫理，並透露出日後健康寫實影片的氣味。

Dr. Huang runs a clinic. One day, Mr. Chen moves to next door and opens a Chinese medicine clinic. In the beginning, the two families get along fine and Chen’s son and Huang’s daughter like each other. But when Mrs. Chen proposes the marriage to Dr. Huang, the conflicts between the families explode.

大雜院中來自外省與本省的居民互相扶持，拾荒者石三泰對孤女小珠疼愛有加，雖然生活貧困，但兩人感情深厚，情同親生父女，過著甜蜜滿足的生活。本片為李行導演首次執導的國語電影，也是後來「健康寫實」電影風潮的先驅，片中每一個小人物都充滿了寫實的刻畫，而當時淳樸熱心的市井小民，就如影片中一般在街頭巷尾過著互助勤勉的簡單生活。

The story is about the people support each other in a slum. The garbage man, Shi San Tai, cares for an orphan , Xiao Zhu. Though both live in poverty, they are close to each other and lead a pleasant life. This is first mandarin film directed by Lee Hsing and a forerunner of the later “Healthy Realism.”

This is the most important work of “Healthy Realism. ” The film portrays the life of Taiwan farmers and the filial love. Lee successfully combined the conflicting ideas of “healthy” and “realistic.” This is one of the most beautiful films made in Taiwan and has recorded its best years.

柳靜言和方依依從小指腹為婚，未料依依出生即為聾啞人士。在依依的父母過世之後，柳家信守承諾，為兩人舉辦婚事。依依雖然身體有缺陷，但個性善良勤奮，讓柳家兩老對她疼愛不已，卻因此引起大嫂和小姑靜文的妒忌。本片改編自瓊瑤原著「六個夢」中的一段故事「啞妻」，王莫愁因本片獲得當年的金馬獎以及亞太影展雙料影后，演技受到極大肯定。

Yiyi and Jingyan are engaged by their parents before their birth. When Yiyi is born, it turns out she could not speak. After her parents pass away, Jingyan marries her as promised. Yiyi is warmed hearted and diligent so her parents-in-law love her dearly, but this causes the jealousy of the daughters in the family.

Mu Hwei is a handsome journalist. He meets three mysterious girls whose figures looked exactly the same. It turns out they are the same girl, Yu Shang. To punish the naughty Yu Shang, Mu Hwei says that he never falls in love with her. The film is adapted from Qiong Yao’s novel.
