柳靜言和方依依從小指腹為婚，未料依依出生即為聾啞人士。在依依的父母過世之後，柳家信守承諾，為兩人舉辦婚事。依依雖然身體有缺陷，但個性善良勤奮，讓柳家兩老對她疼愛不已，卻因此引起大嫂和小姑靜文的妒忌。本片改編自瓊瑤原著「六個夢」中的一段故事「啞妻」，王莫愁因本片獲得當年的金馬獎以及亞太影展雙料影后，演技受到極大肯定。

Yiyi and Jingyan are engaged by their parents before their birth. When Yiyi is born, it turns out she could not speak. After her parents pass away, Jingyan marries her as promised. Yiyi is warmed hearted and diligent so her parents-in-law love her dearly, but this causes the jealousy of the daughters in the family.

Gong is spoiled by his grandmother since childhood. One day he commits a murder and is sentenced to death in autumn. Lian agrees to marry Gong and have a son to carry on the family’s name. Lian visits Gong in the prison everyday and Gong’s bad temperament changes…

Mu Hwei is a handsome journalist. He meets three mysterious girls whose figures looked exactly the same. It turns out they are the same girl, Yu Shang. To punish the naughty Yu Shang, Mu Hwei says that he never falls in love with her. The film is adapted from Qiong Yao’s novel.

This is an adaptation of the biography of Zheng Feng Xi. Lee Hsing received the Best director award of Golden Horse for this film. In the film, the handsome star, Chin Han, had to kneel and tie up his legs to act and the beatiful actress, Joan Lin, had to act in a stormy scene…

The leading actors are the most popular stars of that time. Yet the story is not the romantic love of the glamorous stars, but the portrayal of the simplistic life in a small town. Lee depicts how the residents face the impact of the emerging industrialization and their changes in attitude.

本片為作家鍾理和一生的故事。影片描述鍾理和愛上同姓的鍾平妹，同姓結婚不見容於當時的禮俗，所以兩人從台灣私奔至奉天（今日的瀋陽）。往後敘述鍾理和立志寫作、前往北京，光復後回到台灣的過程。妻子平妹一肩挑起家計重擔，直至丈夫過世，平妹都一路默默的承擔著有形無形的壓力。

This is based on the story of the writer, Zhong Li He. Li He falls for Ping Mei, who has the same surname. Their marriage is forbidden in the society back then. The couple elope to the northern China. The film follows the couple to Bejing and then returning to Taiwan after its recovery…
